my prelims are finally over, thought i’d tumblr on the amazing concert i was at 2 weeks back in this dead journal since i honestly don’t give a fuck about kpop-allergic followers (or having none at all)… this place shall be my fangirl haven ♡ ♡ ♡
stages i still remember from the 2 hours of crazy visual feasting, squealing and jumping around on 10sept:
♡ taemin’s solo stage: when he appeared in that half-bare back (such a tease on its own) aqua top singing SHINee’s song, i had no idea it was gonna be his individual stage… was like, “ok so my baby has sung the first verse, where are the other boys gonna pop up from??” but eventually i realized he was singing all of onew/jonghyun’s parts and my brain distinctly processed it as “OMFG THIS IS HAPPENING I’M WATCHING MY BABY SWAGGER ON STAGE IN HIS FULL GLORY”
… also briefly recalled his rdd days when he was still… a baby (ha ha)… the fact that he is 18 and fulfilling his (once) wildest dreams also kept popping up in my head and i most honestly have never felt so proud of him
but of course, all that cheesey emotional shit was fleeting and the moment he started dancing… -inserts kickass screaming-
♡ key’s solo stage: my first kiss. i think it attempts to be “sleazy”/”sexy” but ended up being immensely kAwAii… gotta love tranny taemin -blonde hair, skinny legs, hot pink sequin bandage skirt, patented baby pink dr martens- seriously, that boy puts all girls in the world to shame
baby key’s stage outfits are always awesome: purple studded jacket, cobalt blue high-cuts completed with his brilliantly style blonde hair… l o l i wonder how i managed to notice all these lil’ details while squirming in my seat all within ~4 minutes?
i’m a major taekey shipper so this comes under my top 10 kperformances
♡ minho’s solo stage: odd thing is, i can’t actually remember what he did?? feel like, it was a mess of dance/rap (??) but eventually just a blatant display of his yummy abs with a few fancy moves. also, that gorgeous b&w suit (white in front, black on the back like a true poker boy) looked like a piece of duoshinki’s wardrobe. i honestly thought only yunho could pull off an outfit like that without looking like a runaway clown straight out from an abusive circus
ask any of my friends and you’d know i’ve always thought minho is redundant in shinee but now i know i’ve been terribly wrong. please forgive me, minho the competitive frog prince
♡ jonghyun’s solo stage came as no surprise (he sung btw), i think mostly because during the concert planning he was still injured so he got to sit a lot /was transported on cables half the time. long story short: his voice is amazing; i would definitely live just to listen to him work his magical voicebox again
♡ onew was the most heartbreaking baby that night. right from the start i could barely see his eyes (10% because they’re already teeny, 90% because he was so obviously tired). honestly, he had me tearing up a couple of times throughout the concert… trying to keep up with the other hyper boys, putting up a happy front for shineeworldsg… if i did not have social obligations i would have dashed right past security and kidnapped him home, let him sleep for a good long 24 hours and fly him back to seoul.
nevertheless his opera stage (“nessun dorma”) was fantastic (rdd style); i wish my words could do him justice but no, no amount/existent vocabulary can suitable describe how -awesome? sorry but this word doesn’t even come close- he was. the amount of effort he put in, the responsibility he must have felt to make it a good show, also not forgetting the fact that he is a genuis child at school… this boy deserves so much respect
♡ taemin was giving waaaay too much fan service to the people in the mosh, looking at several squealing fangirls and singing right into their eyes… also caught several moments of his #fail where he tried to act cool but is in reality too cutesy for all that poser shit (here i am reminded of a teeny part where key’s voice broke and jonghyun’s subsequent attempt to cover up a sniggle). he also kept adjusting his pants ha ha ha skinny baby needs to eat more!
♡ all that said about my bias, i have to admit that jonghyun was the KING of fan service that night. was kinda surprised he looked so happy and all, sitting at the edge of the stage and entertaining a bunch of… outstretched hands (given that he always has that kb face in sg because of retarded teen fans). oh YES he also posed for several polaroids oh my lordddd i almost died of jealousy :’( if i could i would most definitely fly to taiwan/japan for a round #2 shinee world experience (this time in the moshpit) with my attention-seeking instax and pawn all the mini s’s asses
♡ i remember the crowd went WILD during the last set (rdd, up and down, ready or not, lucifer)… here i add a lil’ confession that i love love love the gay idea of laser beams shooting from their hands ha ha ha
♡ the ending/encore stages were fucking amazing. although onew looked like he just wanted to evaporate backstage, watching him body gag and wearing all those ridiculous hats were in itself crazily heartening.
key noticed the red hand banners that said “happy key’s day” in early celebration of his birthday -was so generous with fan service thereafter, wearing the huge taemin mushroom hat, kissing plastic balls and throwing ‘em to the mosh, asking for a banner from the crowd and waving it throughout…
we (as in shineeworldsg) intended to sing a korean birthday song for key but they ended up initiating an english one, so it turned out to be an awkward mess of everyone trying to follow their tune (with jonghyun rocking the high notes)… more notably i remember jonghyun’s muthafucking sexxxxxy jongrish “key i love you~” so sweet i could’ve melted into a puddle right there and then (i’m also a major jongkey shipper btw)
♡ oh yeah i also caught a 2min moment where minho took revenge on jonghyun for pouring water all over a compliant baby tae, sneakily empty his bottle on the back-faced bling dude. was simultaneously screaming laughing and almost tearing (go figure how i managed to do it) when i saw that
ok so now essentially all i have left are the memories (so much of onew sleep-singing and breaking my heart + an aching arm from holding the light stick up for 2 hours straight)
sigh my shinee babies please wait for me i’d fly to korea/japan for you guys as soon as i can after 25nov… next time i’m gonna drop my prejudice and notice more of minho
